Cup Cakes

Hi there,

Today it's all about cup cakes!

Some months ago I received this gorgeous cup cake digi in the Aurora Wings FB group as a freebie for a competition. I was so inspired by it, that I started my printer, made a copy and began colouring it immediately. I decided to colour her in green and pink.

I had the perfect backing paper for it. Filled with cup cakes and cherry berries among other fruits, and the paper was in green and pink as well. Sorry about the quality of the photo. I think I needed to adjust something in the camera at that time.

As accessories to the green card I chose green flowers with a green pearl centre and a sentiment saying "Yummi Yummi I'm good in your Tummy :-)".

Some time after this I wanted to try making it in another colour and this time I chose blue and purple. I like this project too and I also found the perfect backing paper for it, filled with coffee cups. Very appropriate for a cup cake, don't you think?

As accessories for the blue card I combined a brown paper flower with a double coloured blue felt flower, because the brown flower matched the backing paper. The sentiment on this card says " I'm a smoking hot cup cake" - which of course she is, isn't that true?

I hope you love them and maybe get inspired by this digi as much as I did.

I'll try to be back soon and show you more cards from my earlier published stash.

Mermaid - an old project

Hi there!

I have a lot of cards that have been shown in various groups on FB, but not yet here on my blog. I'm going to remedy that and will try to catch up on them. I will let you know, when I've shown them all and am up to date with everything.

The first of the old projects, I'm going to show you, is a Mermaid colouring which I was soo astounded by, when it was finished. Never had I thought I could make something like this (sorry if I'm polishing my own halo) LOL. In Kit and Clowder, we've been told NEVER to put our colourings down, but to say something nice about it, and that's what I'm trying to do here.

This is Mermaid Alyce - an image from SimplyBStamps. I think it's safe to say, that it will not be the last time I will colour her. I would like to do her in different colour combos, so she might pop up in here at a later time in a different combo. I added white Molotow dots to her hair.

I used punched out flowers with an added pearl in a matching colour. I also added some die cuts of sea shells, which I distressed to give them a more or less authentic look, and an anchor. The background paper came in a mixed paper pack and matched her colours to perfection.

I hope you like her as much as I do.

Cactus Sprite

Hi there,

I'm happy to see so many new followers to my blog. Welcome to you. I hope you're going to like it here.

May I present all of you to my Cactus Sprite, which I actually coloured some months ago. Another little Sprite that I simply adore.

She's an image by Mitzi Sato-Wiuff of Aurora Wings. Mitzi has the most amazing images and I love her Sprites and her mermaids.

One thing that I love about her is that she can be made with the petals in many different colours, orange that I did, pinks, reds, yellows and purples. I've seen this cactus sort with so many different colour petals. AND she has the cutest little face, don't you think?

I love the sentiment, which is a SimplyBStamps sentiment, but the text suits my Cactus Sprite to perfection.

I added the "rose bush" and some green/orange home made roses too.

I hope you love her as much as I do.

I'm on a roll

Hi there,

Yesterday morning I noticed that Andreia Silva of Moonflower digi stamps had tagged me on Facebook.

I was curious to see why, and as it turned out I'd won the June Challenge in the Moonflower FB Group and was allowed to choose 2 free digis from the webshop. When Andreia emailed them to me, she was also kind enough to include a badge for my blog. You can see that on the right side of the blog. How exiting was that!

I will show you another time, what I've made with my winnings. But today it's all about my winning project.

Andreias image "Sakura Maiden" was a free digi for the challenge. When I participate in challenges, I try not to look too much at the other entries before I've uploaded my own, because it's so easy to make something similar without wanting to, and I want to be known for putting my own "stamp" on my projects so to speak.

Green is my favourite colour (I also like blue very much - I like many colours when I come to think of it LOL). So I decided to use green for the dress, and add a little pink to the flowers on the dress. I'm sorry that I couldn't make the blue flowers better. Alyce of Kit and Clowder, has not yet offered a class with colouring flowers, LOL, so for now, this is what they look like.

Some months ago I bought the lace doilies - stupid, stupid me - I should only have used two, but of course I had to put three on - AND nobody can see the one below the image HAHA.

I found the flowery backing paper in my stash, and it suited the rest of my design. Last but not least, I added the blue flowers of which two are home made roses (one in each corner).

I hope you like her. Please leave a message if you do.

I'm sorry the photo is not better, the weather was rather dark on the day I took it.
